The husband and I visited Chur on our honeymoon and the hotel happened to be across the street from a Suzuki dealership. You can bet your ass we crossed that street and checked out the new Jimny. "If they bring this to the states, you're buying one for me," was Mr. DSM_OR_DIE's immediate response. But with a manual, of course.

I don’t know how much I’d enjoy driving it in the States.. or Switzerland, but it would be the perfect city car for back home in e astern Europe and wh at’s left of its roads.

The right colour, but does it need a bodykit?
I like the Defender look, ‘LITTLE D’ not a good name.

A bsolutely not. I'd rather put a body kit on a G wagon to make it look like a Jimmy ;)

Excellent. Reckon you could get the front wheels off the ground with a few mates sat on the tailgate?

I owned a 54hp JA11 Jimny and took it on road trips around the US Midwest. Mine wouldn’t have done well there but the 1.5L in the export market Jimny should be able to handle Switzerland alright and it would be just fine in the perfectly flat American Midwest, not that it was ever intended to be a highway cruiser.
For me to he onboard there needs to be a soft top version.
